Have a Virtual Halloween Party

Halloween parties are a no-go this year, so why not shoot for the next best thing? Make it virtual and have an online party!

We’ve put together some tips to help you make this happen in your neighbourhood, read them all here!

What To Do

1.

Invite the neighbours to join in

Get started by inviting your neighbours, friends and family to your virtual Halloween party.

Get in touch with your neighbours by setting up a WhatsApp, Facebook or email group and asking them to join.

2.

Pick some ghoulish games

There are tons of fun games you can play virtually. Here are a few ideas:

  • A household scavenger hunt- there are loads of lists online already, just choose one that works for you: like this one!
  • Pumpkin carving.
  • Costume contest-  theme your call so that everyone has to dress as monsters, Disney characters, superheroes, ghosts, and vote on the best costume!

3.

Tell your spookiest stories

We all have a creepy ghost story up our sleeves. Go around the group and see who can tell the spookiest story. Or try making up a new one going around the group a sentence at a time!

4.

Watch a Halloween Classic

Pick a fun Halloween classic to watch together virtually using Netflix Party or Metastream

Family favourites:

  • Hocus Pocus
  • The Witches
  • Ghostbusters

Creepy Classics:

  • Halloween
  • Friday the 13th
  • Nightmare on Elm Street

Covid Safety Tips

  • Maintain social distancing of 2 metres
  • Wear a mask
