07 Aug Community Updates and Opportunities
How are you and your community doing? We’d love to hear about any community groups, neighbourly initiatives or local gatherings you have been involved with this summer.
We have had a busy few weeks working on some ongoing projects and we’re so excited to share the outcomes of those with you soon. In the meantime we’re looking for expressions of interest from the public for a few things, see below for more information.
Have a lovely weekend!
Photographers wanted
Co. Meath, Co. Monaghan and Co. Westmeath
We are seeking professional, documentary style portrait photographers based in Monaghan, Meath and Westmeath to take the lead on a creative community photo project.
We want to produce a series of portraits which capture our participants in the community time machine initiative at this moment and time and which showcases the world right now.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please contact [email protected] or if you know anyone who might be suitable please pass this opportunity along.
When getting in touch please attach examples of your work, i.e a link to your portfolio or Instagram page.
End of summer intergenerational community initiative
A celebration of seniors by the teenagers in their areas.
Neighbourhood Network has teamed up with Monaghan, Meath and Westmeath County Councils and Creative Ireland for the Time Machine initiative and we are now inviting 12-18 year olds to interview a senior in their community- a neighbour, a grandparent, a family friend.
Participants will be given a set of questions to use for their interview but we also want them to have some creative fun and put their own stamp on the project.
Submissions will open next week and close on August 23rd. All interviews and creative responses will be showcased on a unique digital time machine website in September.
If you are based in Monaghan, Meath or Westmeath and have a 12-18 year old at home and this sounds like something they’d like to get involved with send an email to [email protected] for more information and resources.
