Community Boost With Neighbourhood Network
Thank you to the panel participants and everyone who joined us in conversation last night at the third Community Boost. It was great to hear from so many Neighbourhood Networkers. Our next Community Boost will take place Tuesday, June 16th. We’ll have more info on that next week.
Tea-At-Three
As mentioned above, it was fantastic to have such good weather across the country for the weekend’s Tea-At-Three. It’s brilliant that we’re all still connecting with our communities throughout lockdown.
Thank you to everyone who sent in pictures also. We’ll be sticking on the kettle again this weekend, do join!
Meitheal Áitiúil
Ó Street Feast agus An tOireachtas, tacaíonn Meitheal Áitiúil le pobail ar fud na tíre atá ag cuidiú lena chéile le linn na géarchéime. Is féidir leat do phobal a chlárú anseo: streetfeast.ie/meitheal-aitiuil/
Do you know your neighbours? Thanks to lockdown, I do
Already here we’re seeing that Tea-At-Three is a great way to navigate that delicate process of introducing yourself to the neighbours!
The Guardian had a brilliant piece all about that last weekend! Great to see communities across the globe building stronger connections.
Strength in Neighbours
A couple of days ago we stumbled upon this lovely story out of Tennessee. It’s so important that we continue to build strong and inclusive communities for all of our neighbours, and this is a heart-warming example of just that!
Covid-19 County Council Funding Schemes
We’ve updated our Covid-19 County Council Funding Schemes list. If your a member of a group responding to Covid-19, you may be entitled to funding from your local Council to support your community group.
Neighbourhood Chats
We’ve been visiting Neighbourhood Networks, catching-up with amazing Neighbours supporting their communities during #COVID19! This week we chatted with Maria in Stoneybatter! Check it out below.
Your experiences
Thank you kindly to responses so far to our nominate a neighbour campaign! We’ll be sharing stories and profiles of some of the amazing Neighbourhood Networkers doing great work across the country over the next few weeks.
In the meantime, you can nominate one of your neighbours here!
We’ve designed Neighbourhood Network – a tool to help support the people all over the country who are responding to this call. Register your existing group or sign up as a volunteer/coordinator here!
We hope you have a good week, stay safe and mind each other from a distance!
All the best,
Neighbourhood Network
