Our Fabric

Home is more than just a place. It’s a feeling of belonging.

At Neighbourhood Network, we believe that small moments of connection can lead to profound and lasting change. Our mission is to spark neighbourhood connections and build happy, healthy, and resilient communities.

Our Fabric is our newest programme, designed to weave belonging into the heart of new communities and to integrate long established developments. Ireland’s housing crisis is not only about bricks and mortar—it’s about people, community, and the quality of life we create together.

Our Fabric supports residents in new neighbourhoods to build strong, inclusive, and resilient communities. We work in collaboration with residents, peer organisations and local authorities to help create the foundation for long-term community resilience.

We organise workshops on setting up a Residents Association and work side by side with the community to help them establish one in their neighbourhood.

Our Fabric in action

In partnership with Fingal County Council, we launched Our Fabric in Churchfields, Mulhuddart, Dublin 15 in 2025.

Our work aims to:

  • Build community from day one: We support residents to form connections through activities like Street Feasts, coffee mornings, and cultural celebrations.
  • Support local leaders: We run workshops on how to set up a Residents Association, and we work closely with neighbours to bring these groups to life. This ensures communities are resident-led, sustainable, and inclusive.
  • Bolster Integration and belonging: By connecting people across cultures, generations, and backgrounds, Our Fabric fosters understanding and unity.
  • Partner with other local services: We work in partnership with other local organisations, who share our commitment to supporting inclusive, resilient neighbourhoods.
