About Neighbourhood Network
Neighbourhood Network came from the team behind Street Feast, a national neighbourhood street party event to celebrate community. We are a not-for-profit, community building organisation. We inspire neighbours to connect by providing them with the support and tools to organise community building activities. We encourage community activism and participation, and empower residents to take ownership of their neighbourhoods and start more community led projects.
At our core, we focus on reducing loneliness and social isolation by creating community connections. We do this by running projects that promote neighbourliness, social inclusion, volunteerism and creativity in the community. In the past year, we’ve produced a programme of 30+ activities that enables communities to stay connected to their neighbours through accessible socially-distanced activities.
About Home Together
Home Together is a partnership between Neighbourhood Network and a local developer. Following a successful first and second year in 2021 and 2022, We are delighted to be continuing the Home Together project in 2023. Neighbourhood Network will be working with residents, helping them come together within their new neighbourhoods to create strong, well-connected communities.
As residents settle into their new homes, we will be providing each area with the tools to build a culture of connectedness from the beginning. Our ambition is simple – to create happy places for people to live, where neighbours feel supported by each other.
It is of vital importance to us at Neighbourhood Network that the residents are the drivers of this process; we are here to support, inspire and facilitate new neighbourly friendships and positive community activities. We hope to empower residents to feel a strong sense of ownership of their neighbourhoods and start their own community led projects.
