28 Jun Weekend plans for you and your community
It’s hard to believe June is coming to an end already! We’ve just past the point of the summer solstice and the longest day of the year – does your community do anything fun to celebrate the solstice? We’d love to hear what you got up to if you do!
Our Community Activity Challenge is under full swing for summer 2021 and we have lots of other lovely projects coming up over the next few months. If your neighbourhood is up to anything interesting, pop us a message and let us know!

This Sunday at 5pm we are delighted to have our intergenerational Community Time Machine project featured on RTÉ Lyric FM as part of their series ‘Golden Opportunities’ that explores how engaging in creativity can provide a lifeline in difficult times.

Nature Scavenger Hunt
Ideas for summer fun
Looking for something fun to get stuck into with kids now that schools are finishing up for the summer holidays?
A lovely idea to try out in your neighbourhood is a local nature scavenger hunt! We love this idea (above) from @muddly_puddly on instagram for a reuseable DIY scavenger hunt board
You can use our template to search for flowers, berries, birds and insects or get creative with your own clues and tailor them to where you live!
This weekend we’re looking forward to attending some of the virtual Dublin pride events organised by brilliant, creative, Irish groups all over the country!
Dublin June 25th – 27th
Pride festivals have also been organised in other Irish cities for later in the summer. Let us know if your community is getting involved!
Limerick July 5th-11th
Belfast July 31st – Aug 1st
Galway August 9th – 15th
We love hearing about what your neighbourhood is getting up to! Get in touch with us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram & let us know how your community is doing!
